for the Public Gallery Auction - January 28th 2016
The winter gallery sales continued with another good mix of furniture, antiques, collectibles, clean household items and more:
A large collection of cast iron 'Looney Tunes' character banks and pencil holders sold in total for about $1,000. A limited edition framed animation cell of Bugs Bunny entitled "Ain't I a stinker?" signed by 'Chuck Jones' sold for $160.
A collection of four framed 'David Armstrong' prints included 'Youth' for $120, 'The Flyer' for $160, and two examples of the 'Last Run' that brought $260 and $140 respectively. Also, a collection of eleven 'Wallace Nutting' framed works averaged at about $30 a piece, totaling $315.
A china chocolate set brought $190, a dinner set of Haviland Limoges China sold for $160, and a blue coindot syrup brougth $70.
A lot of Little League items brought $190, A marionette in a display case sold for $150, a 'Fulton NY' fruit press brought $110, and a U.S. regulation sword brougth $130.
Furniture including an oak mirror-back server brought $280, a Victorian marble-top table sold for $130, and a walnut marble table brought $90. Rugs included two Navajo rugs that sold for $160 and $60 respectively.
